Christmas light displays at the botanic garden. Actually, these shows have been held annually for several years, but this was the first time we managed to go. I generally recommend it because everything is really nicely done.

Glenfinnan Aqueduct: The Glenfinnan Aqueduct is an impressive structure that carries the Caledonian Canal over the Glenfinnan valley. The aqueduct is 18 metres high and 380 metres long, and trains run over it from Glasgow to Mallaig.

Since today is November 11th, I'm adding two Polish touches I spotted during today's walk. The new monument to General Maczek, which was unveiled just a few days ago. There is also Wojtek the Bear, who came to Edinburgh during the Second World War.

Today we had a bit of free time, so we went out to get some fresh air and look at the golden leaves. It's still a bit early for typical autumn colors, but I did take a few photos. Maybe we'll have to go again in early November when all the leaves have fallen.
