Sea Organ - Greeting to the Sun.

These two installations are "Morze Organów" (Sea Organ) and "Pozdrowienie Słońca" (Greeting to the Sun), both designed by the same artist and architect, Nikola Bašić.

"Sea Organ" is a fascinating installation that combines nature with sound art. It is a kind of interactive sea sculpture composed of concrete steps that descend directly into the Adriatic. Beneath the surface of the steps is a system of channels and resonating chambers designed to harness the power of the sea waves and transform it into extraordinary music.

When the waves strike the concrete steps, sounds resembling harmonic chords are produced. The effect depends on the strength of the waves and the weather, which makes the sounds generated by the Sea Organ always somewhat variable and unpredictable. This sensory experience creates a calm, meditative atmosphere, attracting visitors who want to relax and immerse themselves in the natural harmony of the sea and its sounds.

"Greeting to the Sun" is another spectacular art installation by Nikola Bašić, located right next to the Sea Organ. This interactive installation was designed as a large circular disc made up of 300 multicolored glass panels embedded in the pavement. These panels are equipped with photovoltaic panels that collect solar energy throughout the day.

At night, when the sun sets, the Greeting to the Sun begins to operate as a dynamic, luminous spectacle. The stored solar energy is used to generate moving light patterns and colorful effects that correspond to solar cycles. This installation changes and evolves over the course of day and night, creating a magnificent impression and delighting visitors.

Both installations, the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun, represent a unique combination of art, architecture, and nature, which makes Zadar one of Croatia's distinctive and popular tourist destinations.
