Old Man of Storr.

The place has changed a bit since our last visit. A large car park and toilets. Completely different from last time. We went there fairly early, so there were very few people. On the way back there were unfortunately crowds, so it became cramped and noisy. This time the place more resembled Mordor, as mist kept rolling over the hills. The landscape around the Old Man of Storr was used in the latest series The Witcher. This is where Kaer Morhen, the witchers' stronghold, was located.

According to one legend, the Old Man of Storr is one of three giants who were invited to the island by the local people to build a bridge between the Isle of Skye and the mainland. The giants started building the bridge but were betrayed by the people, who killed one of them, causing the bridge never to be completed. The remaining rocks on the hill are the remnants of the giants' unfinished work.
According to another legend, the Old Man of Storr is the remnant of a spear that a giant threw at his enemy.
The Old Man of Storr is also a popular spot for climbing enthusiasts, who often scramble up to the rock to admire the stunning views of the surrounding area. For those who don't climb, there is an easier path that winds through beautiful scenery and offers the chance to see the huge rock up close.
