Old Man of Storr

The Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye is the most majestic place on the island. A trip to Skye cannot be complete without visiting this site. It is the most spectacular view on the island and a must-see for fans of wild landscapes.

The place has changed a bit since our last visit. There is a large car park and toilets — completely different from last time. We went fairly early, so there were very few people. On the way back the crowds had already arrived, so it became cramped and noisy. This time the place resembled Mordor, because fog kept rolling over the hills. The landscape at the Old Man of Storr was used in the latest series The Witcher. It was the location of the witchers' stronghold, Kaer Morhen.

Old Man of Storr is a distinctive rock on the Isle of Skye in Scotland that attracts tourists from around the world. It is a huge rock over 50 metres high that rises on a steep hillside.

According to one legend, the Old Man of Storr is one of three giants who were invited to the island by the local people to build a bridge between the Isle of Skye and the mainland. The remaining rocks on the hill are the remnants of the giants' unfinished work.

Old Man of Storr is also a popular spot for climbing enthusiasts, who often approach the rock to admire the amazing views of the surrounding area. For those who are not climbers, an easier path is available that leads through beautiful landscapes and offers the chance to admire the huge rock up close.
