Eilean Donan Castle is an impressive structure located on the small island of Eilean Donan in Scotland, near the bridge that connects the mainland to the Isle of Skye. The castle is one of Scotland's most recognizable landmarks, and also one of the country's most visited sites.

The first fortress on this island was built in the 13th century, but over the centuries the castle was destroyed and rebuilt several times. The current structure was created between 1912-1932, when the castle was rebuilt by John MacRae-Gilstrap to resemble the original medieval castle.

Eilean Donan Castle consists of three towers and defensive walls that surround the castle courtyard. Inside the castle there are museums dedicated to the history and culture of Scotland, as well as many rooms where you can see original furniture and decorations from the times when the castle was inhabited.

Eilean Donan Castle is one of the most photographed castles in the world and has been used as a backdrop in many films, including "Highlander" (1986), "Cry Freedom" (1995), and the James Bond film "The World Is Not Enough" (1999).

A beautiful landscape surrounds the castle, with the waters of Loch Duich and the River Dochart, making Eilean Donan Castle one of the most beautiful places in Scotland.
