St. Mary & St. Finnan church was built in 1812 in the Neo-Gothic style, and its façade is adorned with a distinctive clock tower. Inside the church there are many valuable items, including an altar with a sculpture of the Crucified Christ and stained glass windows depicting scenes from the lives of the saints.
One of the most distinctive features of St. Mary & St. Finnan is its location: it stands on a hill with beautiful views over Loch Shiel and the well-known Glenfinnan Viaduct, featured in the Harry Potter films. Nearby there are also many other tourist attractions, such as the Glenfinnan railway station museum, where you can see numerous exhibits related to the history of the region.
St. Mary & St. Finnan is a place of worship for the local Catholic community, but it is also a popular tourist attraction for visitors to this beautiful part of Scotland.
