Beach in Durness

Durness is a small village located in northern Scotland, on the west coast of the Pentland Firth. Near Durness there is a beautiful beach called Sango Sands Beach, which attracts tourists from around the world.

Sango Sands Beach is about 1.5 km long and is made up of fine sand and pebbles. The water at the beach is cold because the Atlantic is very chilly here, but on sunny days it’s an ideal spot for sunbathing and relaxing on the sand. From the beach you can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding hills and the North Sea coast.

Sango Sands Beach is also popular with surfers and kiteboarders who come here from all over the world to take advantage of the excellent conditions for their water sports. Near the beach there is also a golf course and numerous hiking trails that wind through the picturesque surrounding landscape.

Durness is also an excellent place for nature lovers who want to explore Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, or visit some of the picturesque lochs and rivers in the area. Near Durness there are also beautiful cliffs, such as Cape Wrath and Smoo Cave, which are worth seeing.
