Lopud - Croatia
Walk around the island - Lopud Island is small and sparsely populated, which makes it an ideal place for walks and hiking. Along the coast and inland there are many beautiful trails that lead to scenic spots on the island.
And unfortunately that's already the end of our latest visit to the Croatian island of Lopud. This island is our favorite place to relax. There are no cars on it, which for us is a big advantage when it comes to rest and relaxation. The island has everything you need: pools, beaches and delicious food. The weather, as is usually the case at this time of year, didn't drop below 30 degrees. Because of the heat we didn't climb the planned highest peak, but we saved it for next time. We stayed again at the Lafodia Hotel. I honestly recommend it, as it is a fairly modern hotel and provides good breakfasts, so you don't have to worry about buying breakfast supplies. Today is the first batch of photos I prepared for the site.

- Fortezza - The Fortezza is a historic 15th-century fortress built on a hill. It offers wonderful views of the island and the surrounding area.
- Gučetić Castle - Gučetić Castle is a historic castle that was built in the 15th century. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful park and garden.

From afar you can already see that this is no ordinary city gate. Monumental, built of light-colored stone, adorned with columns and numerous details. Above the main archway proudly stands the winged lion of St. Mark – the symbol of Venetian power that ruled Zadar for centuries.
