A feathered friend
While resting and gathering strength for our next outings, a bird friend visited us. It ate some of our food and flew on. It probably wasn't its only restaurant that day. It wasn't afraid, and it was clear it was used to human company.
While resting and gathering strength for our next excursions, we had the chance to experience an extraordinary encounter with nature. A small but very friendly guest visited us — a robin. This unassuming little bird, known across Europe, decided to spend a moment with us, sharing its energy and curiosity about the world.
The robin, with its characteristic orange patch on its chest, approached our campsite without hesitation. It was obvious this wasn't its first visit among people. Fearlessly it hopped around us and even took advantage of our hospitality, nibbling on some of our food. It was clever and determined, as if it knew travelers always have something tasty.
What charmed us most about the encounter was its natural trust. The robin didn't treat us as a threat, but rather as companions who could brighten its day. It was clear it was accustomed to human presence, and may even profit from it. Who knows how many other "restaurants" it visited that day along its route?
The robin is a bird that often visits gardens, parks, and woods across Europe. Its presence reminds us how closely connected we are to nature, even during our travels. It's remarkable how such a small creature can bring so much joy and calm to our day. Just a moment is enough to feel part of something bigger, where people and nature coexist in harmony.
